As part of its international development plan launched in 2022, Avignon Festival & Compagnies (the association that coordinates the festival Off Avignon) is focusing more on supporting foreign companies and producers who take part in the festival.
To help them, AF&C is launching a new trial initiative for 2025: the Off'Grants.
These mobility grants will help cover round-trip transport costs (for people and equipment) from abroad to France, for companies presenting a show at the Off Avignon festival between 5 and 26 July 2025.

The grant is dedicated exclusively to contributing to the financing of travel costs for foreign companies scheduled to perform at the 59th festival Off Avignon, and applies from the first kilometre, from their country of origin to Avignon.
It is a project grant targeting the mobility of these companies' artistic and technical teams. Under no circumstances may it be used for programming outside the above-mentioned framework.
An application does not mean that the grant will automatically be awarded.
The committee that decides on awarding the grant to a company or producing organisation is made up of the members of the international working group elected by the Board of Directors and whose term of office is ongoing, and any other person deems useful.
Each member of the committee takes part in the vote. In the event of a tie, the copresident(s) have the casting vote. Once the applications have been examined by the staff, they are presented to the committee. The companies and production organisations whose applications are accepted are awarded 40% of the amount granted as soon as it has been valitated by the commitee, and 60% at the end of the festival on presentation of the documents required.
If all the documents required for final payment of the grant are not received, the award committee has the right not to pay remainder of grant.
NB: Any company or production structure seeking the information given will be liable to repayment of the entire grant exclusion from the aid for 5 years. Depending on the seriousness of the offence, the perpetrator may be barred from registering for AF&C services (see General Terms and Conditions of Registration of AF&C Services).
Grant may not exceed 50% of the cost of transporting the artistic and technical teams of the foreign companies selected.
The maximum amount of funding is €2,000 per company.
The grant is paid in two instalments:
The laureate companies and production organisations undertake to put the winning show on Ticket'Off.
Without this being compulstory in order to obtain payment of the grant, the winning structure is invited to join the association and be a member.
