Entre l’Algérie et la France, une pente. Il y a le soleil qui tape, la colère qui monte, et deux corps qui avancent l’un vers l’autre depuis des rives opposées. Ensemble, les deux auteur·rices affrontent sans détour le poids des silences, l’héritage de la violence, la question brûlante du pardon. Samira Negrouche, poète algérienne traduite en une trentaine de langues, chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, mêle écriture et scène depuis trois décennies. Marin Fouqué, romancier et performeur français, pensionnaire de la Villa Médicis, porte une littérature ancrée dans les corps et les marges. Ensemble, ils composent un dialogue escarpé, percutant, sur les strates qui nous lient et les failles qui nous séparent.

Between Algeria and France lies a slope. There is the beating sun, rising anger, and two bodies moving towards one another from opposite shores. Together, the two authors confront head-on the weight of silences, the legacy of violence, and the burning question of forgiveness. A two-voice composition — text, song, sound — as urgent as it is necessary.

Samira Negrouche, an Algerian poet whose work has been translated into some thirty languages and who holds the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, has been blending writing and performance for three decades. Marin Fouqué, a French novelist and performer, a resident of the Villa Médicis, creates literature rooted in the body and the margins. Together, they craft a steep, hard-hitting dialogue on the layers that bind us and the rifts that divide us.
