Show resume

At the edge of ourselves, ourselves…
A casino, the Riviera, a widow saves a young man from suicide. In only 24 hours, they will run through the most incredible passions. 24 years later and for the first time, this woman frees herself from this obsessive secret and from the unspoken she is trapped into.
From the shade of memory to the light of confession, Marie Guyonnet brilliantly sweeps us inside the mysterious forces of our moving feelings, this confusion of feelings so dear to Stefan Zweig.

The Press :
« An unforgettable show. » L’Orne Combattante
« A moving representation, carried by a magnificent text. We appreciate» La Provence
« The subtle acting of Marie Guyonnet keeps us in suspens » Le Dauphiné Libéré

She is there. There and now, anchored. She remembers. 24 years ago, 24 hours, only 24, far away. She has kept it for herself, never shared with anyone. It whirls in her head, everyday, always, it whirls in her head, secluded. The spectator becomes her confidant, the first human being whom she talks to, at last. She takes him in her memories, her images, emotions, feelings she is obsessed by. She shares her own discovery of herself. Because of him, listener, listening, she tries to free herself. In front of him, she transforms.
To produce « 24 heures de la vie d’une femme » (« Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Woman ») is to reveal the subtleties of a beautiful piece of art. The reality of the theatre, of the stage, the physical presence of the actress, the lights, the sounds, enable the audience to live with the woman what she went through, what she still is in. It leads to explore the duality of memory, its strange setting where past and present mingle, yesterday and today.
